The incomparable Lana del Rey has covered Shirley Bassey's 'Big Spender' classic as part of a collaboration with up and coming UK rapper Smiler - The 25-year-old New Yorker, whose debut album "Born This Way" took the world's charts by a storm earlier this year - sings a few lines of the Sweet Charity showtune in the chorus of the track "Spender". The 3:18-minute long collabo' with UK raper Smiler which will be released on his new free mixtape "All I Know" on February 27th and apparently a music video might be coming soon too! According to NME.com, Lana went into the studio with the British MC to record "Spender" two years ago, uh-huh, back when Lana was known as Lizzy Grant. 1) Lana has some interesting, and unexpected friends, and 2) this Smiler rapper must be feeling freakin' happy to have a collaboration with one of the world's current 'IT' singers. "Well done to my girl Lana del Ray on her #1 album - proud to have her doing the vocals on Spender.", Smiler wrote on the song's YouTube description. I'm only here for Lana's flawless vocals TBH!
